It's been more than 20 years since I graduated from High School, 15 since I completed my Undergraduate Degree, and by my count I've held 10 or so roles in the same amount of time, in the financial services world, as well as in my local church community.

New students might be surprised to hear that most of the things I learned for those roles were actually learned "on the job" and that often, previous experience (not just education) was one of the most critical things in setting me up for success.

At GLBC, we integrate the Ministry Formation Credit into our curriculum because we recognize the importance in providing students with the opportunity to explore different ministry paths, identifying which most aligns with how God is calling you to serve, regardless of where you are in Canada or beyond. Practical experience also offers the chance to immediately contribute to and develop a network within the Church community.
