The degree, Bachelor of Theology (BTh) is awarded to students completing four years of study with GLBC. This degree provides disciplines appropriate to full-time ministry and prepares students for possible future graduate study.

BTh DEGREE OUTLINE

The Bachelor of Theology degree requires One hundred and twenty-eight (128) credit hours, including an accumulated six hours of Ministry Experience, and one two-hour Internship, and is typically completed in 4 years of full-time study (16 credits per term). Candidates may select a combination of courses from our Bible, Ministry, and Worldview streams plus complete one Ministry Experience course per term. In total, course selection proportions should equal 40% Bible, 40% Ministry, and 20% Worldview.

ELECTIVES 

The remaining selections should be a mixture of Bible, ministry and worldview courses in keeping with the required category stream proportions of 40% Bible, 40% ministry and 20% worldview. Students will have guidance on course selections throughout the progress of their studies and may cluster their electives in one or more areas to suit interests or future ministry and service goals.

How Much Does It Cost?

  • Our courses are very affordable—up to 20% of the tuition of comparable university programs.
  • Course fees remain the same, no matter what year of study.
  • If you have a demonstrated financial need, you may apply to the GLBC Bursary after enrollment.
  • GLBC offers a number of institutional scholarships and awards which students are eligible for after one year of study.
