About Giving Tuesday
GivingTuesday is a day celebrating the global power of giving. It is an opportunity to take action by making a donation, volunteering time, encouraging kindness, and celebrating the generosity of people and communities to support the causes closest to their hearts. At Great Lakes Bible College, we participate in Giving Tuesday to ensure students can continue to access affordable university-level Biblical learning for generations to come.
THIS YEAR WE ARE RAISING FUNDS FOR
Technology Resources – Upgrading library and video capabilities
At GLBC, we are grateful to be able to offer a comprehensive library to support our students' learning needs. Through generous donations from church members as well as an ongoing acquisition program, we have accumulated an excellent collection of texts. Our desire is to make this collection available online and accessible to students and non-students alike. As you may imagine, this will be an extensive, multi-year project. Your support on Giving Tuesday will help us to purchase the technology to make this project feasible.
As GLBC moves towards a more online-based approach to learning, we want to offer the highest quality video recording that is available in our budget. A modest upgrade in our video recording and conference capabilities will ensure that the lessons taught and recorded by our faculty will remain viewable for years to come.
Operating Costs
Give GLBC a head start by helping us cover one month of our operating costs. By freeing up these expenses, we can direct more of our resources towards our students by increasing financial grants, upgrading our resources and offering more educational experiences.
