The Book of Acts

A verse-by-verse study of Acts’ history of the birth, growth and mission of Jesus’ church and God’s fulfilment of His promises and prophecies through Israel to redeem people through the death and resurrection of Jesus. The course examines the historical, geographic, prophetic and literary backgrounds of Acts (including its unity with Luke’s Gospel), the Jewish and Gentile religious, socio-economic, cultural and political backgrounds of the Greco-Roman world and their parallels with the world today. The course deepens our faith and relationships with God, builds our Biblical worldviews and helps equip us for ministry with God in its many dimensions: preaching, teaching, worship, prayer, evangelism, apologetics and benevolence.
